We investigate the question of why there are no high rise buildings in the centre of town and how Munich so impressively manages to combine the old with the new. The buildings visited can be taken from a choice of the BMW complex, The Olympic Park, the Allianz Arena, Fünf Höfe shopping arcade, Maximillianshöfe, the new Jewish cultural centre, the All Saints Royal Church, Siemens Forum and more… As this tour cannot be done solely on foot we use public transport, which presents the opportunity to view the innovative work involved in the construction of new metro stations. |
